Core Basketball Development operates under the guiding principles of education, health, wellness and growth. Under these principles, our program will guide young athletes to achieve positive social change, instill growth, self confidence, and work ethic to create opportunities for personal achievement. Our goal is to develop the intangibles that will provide each young athlete the knowledge, motivation, and passion to do what is necessary to maximize their potential on and off the court.
Ali is motivated on teaching individuals on being accountable and understanding the meaning of hard work. Ali has developed a lot of skills, over 16 years experience as a player and as a skill trainer through the GTA, having played and collaborated with college/university and pro athletes. The most important part of his journey is through adversity and using basketball as an outlet to better himself on and off the court. He believes that everyone deserves a chance to be successful on and off the court.
Joey De Leon
Joey with 4 years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, has collaborated with a number of Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, and other health care practitioners. Joey is driven to share his knowledge to young athletes and individuals alike. From the importance of proper posture, movement and maintaining muscular health. He believes in creating a family oriented atmosphere where everyone is welcome and a positive learning environment for the youth, whether through basketball or health and wellness.
